science
The GALA Science department begins with 6th grade Earth Science and includes 9th grade AP Biology and High School AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science.
technology
All GALA 10th graders take AP Computer Principles where they learn technology, coding, and e-textiles. Students can also take AP Computer Science (Java).
engineering
GALA engineering is a 7th period elective and is incorporated into Architecture, Robotics, and even History!
math
GALA girls start in 6th grade math, are able to accelerate in 7th grade, with a trajectory up to AP Calculus BC, if desired. See the course handbook for more information and our math course chart.
robotics
GALA has Middle and High School robotics teams that compete across the city.

AERONAUTICS
Our Flight Simulators were generously donated so our girls could learn the complexities of pilot navigation.
ROCKETRY
The GALA Rocketry Club took a trip out to the Mohave desert to launch their rockets!
maker space
GALA received an LA2050 grant for its Maker Space! We have 3-D printers, tools, cutters, video equipment, green screen, and our flight simulators!
