GALA SCHOOL TOURS
Hello Prospective Parents and Students!
Thank you for visiting the GALA website and your interest in school tours! We know finding the right school for your daughter can be stressful and your year will be filled with school tours, applications, and crossing your fingers. At our school tours, we hope to give you the information that will help you decide if GALA is the right fit for your family. At GALA, our mission is to build confident, powerful, trailblazing women who have the potential to solve the world's problems... or at least make the world a better place!
2020-2021 prospective parents and students
If you came to our September 14th Open House, thank you! We had so many families on the waiting list that we are opening up more tours. The weekday tours have the same information as the Saturday tour.
NOTE: If you plan to apply to GALA, you do not do that through echoices, you do it it directly on our website. Our application does not affect the number of schools you can apply to through eChoices. Also, our deadline is not until January 1, 2020.
PLEASE, READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE YOU ATTEND A TOUR. RESERVATION FORMS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE. THERE IS A SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH TOUR DATE. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALENDAR AND MAKE YOUR SELECTION.
GRADE LEVELS: Because of the limited seating, tours are ONLY for families who are eligible to apply for 6th-11th grade. If you are in 4th grade or below, you MUST wait to tour. Again, we have very limited seating, a small classroom, so please give that space to families eligible to apply for next year.
TOURS: Please note, we are a public school and we do not do "shadow days", interviews, or private tours.
CONTACT: Please do not call the office regarding school tours - we welcome your questions at:
BEFORE YOU APPLY TO GALA
We HIGHLY recommend that you come to a School Tour (see below) to be sure GALA is a good fit for your family BEFORE you apply.
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions.
Look through our website, uniform page, student pages, etc.
Please note: We do not offer "shadow" days and we do not do student interviews.
Entry to GALA is by application only. Applications will be online September 1-January 1. Applications are not first-come-first-served. All applications will be considered thoughtfully but we do recommend applying earlier rather than later - well before Winter break.
If you have additional questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 1 2020 at midnight.
OFFSITE SCHOOL INFORMATION SESSIONS
Principal Hicks, Staff or parents will attend these offsite school locations to give information sessions, answer questions, and participate in Middle and High School "fairs".
The schools listed first are confirmed. We do not have confirmation from the schools without a date next to them, but this will give you an idea of the schools we usually visit every year. We still highly recommend you attend a school tour at GALA.

GALA: 1067 West Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90019
Please only RSVP if you are interested in applying for the 2020-2021 school year for grades 6th-12th. Every year, our campus is growing and changing and you will have a better idea if GALA is right for your daughter if you tour the year you will submit an application.
Our seating is very limited - you must have an RSVP.
WEST BLVD: There is parking on West Blvd between Olympic and Edgewood beginning at 9am. If you park there before 9am, that is an active loading zone and you could get a ticket. If you park there, you will have time to get out of your car at 9am and check in.
WEST SOUTH OF EDGEWOOD: All day parking south of Edgewood.
EDGEWOOD EAST OF WEST: 2 hour parking.
NORTH OF OLYMPIC: There is also usually plenty of parking near the library just north of Olympic. There is a crosswalk and traffic light at Muirfield.
RESERVE YOUR SPOT
We have limited seating for the tours. You MUST have a reservation to tour the school.
Once you make a reservation, we will be holding this limited slot for you. Please make this a priority and mark your calendar now. If your plans change and you can not make the tour you signed up for or the number in your party changes, PLEASE email us at so that we may release your seat to the waiting list.
Although tours are not mandatory for admissions, we do cross check attendees and no-shows with our applications.
STAND-BY LIST: If our tours are sold out, you can walk-up and sign the waiting list for each tour. All empty seats will be released to the waiting list. In past years, we have been able to accommodate parents, even if standing room only.
