Hello Prospective Parents and Students!
Thank you for visiting the GALA website and for your interest in school tours! We know finding the right school for your daughter can be stressful and your year will be filled with school tours, applications, and crossing your fingers. At our school tours, we hope to give you the information that will help you decide if GALA is the right fit for your family. At GALA, our mission is to build confident, powerful, trailblazing women who have the potential to solve the world's problems... or at least make the world a better place!
TOUR UpDATE
Because our application deadline is mid-November, GALA tours are September through November.
2024-2025: Tours during the 2024-2025 school year will be September-November 2024. Dates and RSVP forms will be posted on this page by September 1, 2024.

2023-2024: Tours are over for this school year. Please note that GALA is a public school and can not accommodate private tours or shadow days.

2023-2024 Virtual Tours: GALA has 3 virtual tours on September 19, October 11 & 23rd. There are no tours from December-August.
​
In-Person Open House: When you attend the virtual tours in September and October, you will get an invitation link for our in-person open house on November 4th. The information at the virtual tours will not be repeated at the Open House so be sure to sign up for a virtual tour. The Open House will be a brief walk through our campus with a chance to talk with students and parents. Note: the November Open House is at our CURRENT location, we do not have access to our new campus location yet.

LAUSD UNIFIED ENROLLMENT info

NEW THIS YEAR! If you plan to apply to GALA, it is now a 2-step process. You will need to 1) Indicate GALA on the LAUSD Unified Enrollment application (GALA is under "Admission Criteria Schools" AND 2) Complete an application and all checklist items on the GALA website. If you do not complete BOTH, your application will not be considered.

NEW GALA LOCATION
We are elated to announce that the LAUSD Superintendent announced May of 2023 that GALA would be moving to its own campus for the 2024-2025 school year. As an all-girls model, we believe our mission and vision will be fully realized on our own all-girls campus. Our new location is nestled and surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Mount. Saint Mary's Doheny Campus (the only all-girls college in Los Angeles), the area's historic Victorian mansions, and conveniently located within walking distance from the Expo train line. We have already partnered with Mount Saint Mary's and USC on multiple projects and we can't wait to continue those relationships. The location is just 4.5 miles from GALA at 2328 St. James Place. GALA is not displacing any other students. The location used to be a high school, closed, and then became a district employee office site. In September 2023, the School Board also approved a 2-Phase campus improvement project that includes painting, upgrading, and adding bungalows.
For the first time, LAUSD will be providing transportation to GALA via school buses from select areas, including a bus from our current location at LA High School. We hope you are as excited as we are that we finally have a campus to call our own!
