GALA TOURS

welcome!
Hello Prospective Parents and Students!
Thank you for visiting the GALA website and for your interest in school tours! We know finding the right school for your daughter can be stressful and your year will be filled with school tours, applications, and crossing your fingers. At our school tours, we hope to give you the information that will help you decide if GALA is the right fit for your family. At GALA, our mission is to build confident, powerful, trailblazing women who have the potential to solve the world's problems... or at least make the world a better place!
TOUR UpDATE
UPDATE: All school tours are over during the 2022-2023 school year. If you are accepted to GALA, there will be an in-person open-house in April where you will be able to see the campus. GALA does not do private tours or shadow days.
2022-2023 Virtual Tours: GALA will have 3 virtual tours. September 28, 2022, October 18, 2022, and November 29, 2022. There are no tours from December-August.
In-Person Open House: When you attend the virtual tours in September and October, you will get an invitation link for our in-person open house on November 5th. The information at the virtual tours will not be repeated at the Open House so be sure to sign up for a virtual tour. The Open House will be a brief walk through our campus with a chance to talk with students and parents.
GALA is a public school and can not accommodate private tours or "shadow" days.

echoices info
-
If you plan to apply to GALA, you do NOT do that through echoices, you do it it directly on our website. Applications on our website beginning October 1st with a hard deadline of January 1st.
-
Our application does not affect the number of schools you can apply to through eChoices. For example, you can apply for magnet schools through eChoices AND apply to GALA separately. GALA is not a Magnet, not a Charter, and not a Pilot school. We are a regular LAUSD school and one of 6 application schools in LAUSD.
-
Our application deadline is different than eChoices.... January 1 at midnight.

tour before you apply
-
We HIGHLY recommend that you attend a tour before you apply to be sure GALA is a good fit for your family. Virtual tours are September-November and you can watch videos HERE.
-
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions before the tour. You can also access our school profile HERE.
-
Look through our website, uniform page, student pages, etc.
-
Entry to GALA is by application only beginning October 1st with a deadline of January 1. Applications are not first-come-first-served. We do recommend applying before Winter break.

“GALA has given me a community I don’t think I would have found at any other school. The school has allowed me to grow without the fear of being judged and has helped grow my confidence exponentially. My favorite thing about going to an all-girls STEM school is seeing girls in positions of leadership.”
